Google have launched Google Chrome Web Store (GCWS) worldwide since it make it’s debut last December 2010. I have just realized the GCWS today, and I didn’t realize it before, so I assume it’s finally here in Malaysia. The extensions only works with the latest web technology; HTML5 and only in Google Chrome v12 versions above.
In here, users are able to download free and premium applications. Applications such as Chinese Tutor, Angry Birds, Plants vs Zombies are FREE, some applications need you to pay, so prepare some money before you buy. You can use the applications OFFLINE once you finished downloading and installing the applications, but some applications may required internet connections, so check the requirement first before download. There are not many applications here compare to Android Market since it’s new.
Once you download an applications, you can use it by open a new chrome or a new tab.
And If you are interested in being one of the developers, take notes that developers will get 95% of the revenue from purchases made within web apps. Google will take a 5% fee, compared to the 30% cut Apple takes for its iOS App Store.
